KERYN + STEFANO
A less stuff elopement at MACq01, Hobart
Keryn + Stefano had already booked a winter holiday in Tassie before they said "Let's just do this!" and opted to turn the holiday into a no-fuss secret elopement, so they could focus on just themselves (they left the kids at home). When Keryn mentioned she wanted a less is more, waste free, recycled approach to her outfit, I was in heaven. Her stunning Georg Jensen earrings were borrowed from her dear friend/witness, Stella; while her shoes and dress were both preloved. And damn, she looked elegant as heck. Stefano was rather smitten. After a ceremony against the backdrop of Hobart's waterfront, The Mountain and Dark Mofo crosses, we all went for a stroll past the Art School to The Hobart Brewing Co for a hot apple cider and a handful of quick portraits (this was not their main priority).
The morning following the elopement, Keryn + Stefano set off for Pumphouse Point for their minimoon. On the way, they stopped off at two places to regift the two bouquets. The first was gifted to Ben O'Brien's grandmother, who often makes an appearance on his social media, and Keryn had fallen in love with her. The second bouquet was dropped off at Corumbene Nursing Home in New Norfolk and given to a resident who never had guests. It was a small gesture that filled a couple of elderly people with joy.
Before I stop writing, I'd like to point out the light - THAT WINTER LIGHT - that hugged us during the portraits.
